Sending my deepest sympathy to you. I worked with Mike a lot at American and am very sorry to hear of his passing. He was easy to work with and I liked him.

When I was about 11 years old, I was at a girl scout camp wearing an old football jersey of my brother´s. I was amused and surprised when some of the high school girls there, camp counselors, became all a-twitter and started gushing, "You´re MIKE ZUBER´s little sister?!" I realized then that I was proud to be Mike´s little sister. And I never stopped being proud of being his sister-proud of how he handled tough times, and especially proud of how he and Tammy cared for our mother in her final years. I can see him in heaven now, cheering on the Broncos with Dad and comparing notes on the day´s crossword puzzle with Mom. I love you, big brother.

Mike was a great friend of our family.
Many a good time was had and lots of great rounds of golf.
We will miss Mike and I'm sure he will be watching over all of his friends and family.
So sad to have him leave us.
The Fowler family will always remember this great guy.

My condolences to the family for your loss. Hopefully Mark remembers me as a fraternity brother back in a day. "Zube" as our group of four ( w/ me, Rusty Spain and Buddy Vaughan) called him were good, close friends. Football is where he and I came to know each other, both of us were defensive backs. In recent years we would sporadically reach out to each other, just a month or so back I sent him a picture of us three because he was always asking about the group. There is a picture from my yearbook that he signed that I will try to post, it´s from our football days. Missing you bud, God speed 88!!

Mike was my contact for years to locate his brother Mark for class reunions; Mark kept moving around. Mike always asked about those he knew and how they were doing, what they were up to. I remember some stories from his class's senior class trip but just in case I don't remember the names correctly, I'll remain silent. Godspeed Mike.

Mike was my older brother by only two years. We shared a lot growing up together. When Mike got his learner's permit and was learning to drive, I got to tag along and learned to drive 4-speed manual transmission at 13. I also got my early music influences listening to his record album collection, including Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Buffalo Springfield, and more.
Mike graduated from Colonial Heights HS in 1970. He was a good athlete as a left-handed pitcher in baseball and a safety on the CHHS football team. I hope that some of Mike's friends and classmates will share some remembrances here.

Mike was a great big brother. I will miss his candid critiques of the Broncos, and I´ll miss a lot more. I hope his golfing friends think of him when they make a birdie!

Sorry to hear about Mike I went to Catawba College with Mike and had many good times with him while there. He was always a joy to be around and will never forget the times we had tossing down some cold ones! Prayers for all of you during this tough time.
