Mickey Lou "Beck" Bechtelheimer, 92, departed this life to be with the Lord on September 5, 2025 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born May 27, 1933 in Laketon, Indiana into the home of Harold and Helen (Butler) Bechtelheimer and later moved to Colorado Springs in 1941. Beck graduated from Colorado Springs High School in 1951.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 19th at 10:30am and will be followed by a funeral service at 11:45am at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 2111 Carlton Avenue. Food will be served at the church after the service and then burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery at 3:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pikes Peak Hospice Foundation, 2550 Tenderfoot Hill Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80906 or to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 2111 Carlton Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80909.

Beck, I will forever remember you fondly, as our local racing announcer. At the local oval tracks and hillclimbs. You took the time to get to know each and every driver and shared stories about them throughout the evening. The world is a better place because of you and your family. Elaine was always by your side and I'm sure you will be forever in her heart. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Beck and his entire family have been in my life since I can remember as a child. Hanging out with Beck and Elaine until eventually Beck announcing all of my sponsors and talking it up on the P.A. system through my entire racing career, all good times. Our entire family are heartbroken for Beck,Elaine,John, and the rest of the family...God speed 'Beck'. We love you so much!
