Mike Sintas
When novelists want to create a hero of Grandfatherly proportions, look no further than Mike Sintas. Growing up as an orphan in rural New Mexico, he harnessed the love he should've received. He held on to that love and gave it to his grandkids. He enjoyed taking them to school, making bologna sandwiches and carrying the babies like a football.
Mike lived his life with "Hard Luck" determination, a blue collared, hard working man who took pride in providing for his family.
He fought proudly in the Korean War. He loved a healthy green lawn and watching his beloved San Francisco 49ers.
Sadly, Mike Sintas passed away alongside family on September 3rd, 2017 at the wise age of 86.
Mike was born on June 1, 1931 in Preston, NM. He is survived by his wife Caroline Sintas; Children: Michael, Stanley, Geno, Debby, Sandi and Sophia; his loving grandchildren, his adoring great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, his brother Frank Sintas and sister Mary Sena.
Viewing services: Friday September 15, 2017, 4pm, Memorial Gardens, 3825 Airport Road.
Funeral Mass: Saturday September 16, 2017, 10am, St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1830 S. Corona Ave.
