Millie was born June 29, 1926, to Cora (Melbastad) and Elmer Ohnstad. She was raised on a Red River farm twenty miles north of Fargo, North Dakota. She died peacefully at home of congestive heart failure under hospice care.

In 1944, Millie graduated from Fargo High School. On June 22, 1947, she married Charles Sullivan at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead, Minnesota. In 1948 they moved to Colorado Springs and spent the rest of their lives there.

Millie started Marshall Nursery in 1969 and managed it until 1995 when her son Dan became the manager/owner. She continued to help manage and do the accounting for the nursery until 2010 when it closed its doors.

Millie and Chuck square danced for 45 years. They were members of the Wagon Wheelers and Mountain Swingers dance clubs. Both were members of The Sons of Norway, Colorado Springs Fly Casting Club, and Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Millie was an artist and learned rosemaling, a Norwegian art form, at age 85. With Chuck's help, she also created a large snow village in the basement of their home, over a 30-year period.

Millie is survived by children, Charles Sullivan II in Denver, Dan Sullivan and Connie Hoy in Colorado Springs. Grandson Scott Sullivan. Grand Daughters Anthea (husband Terry) Stefanoudakis and Demi (husband Tim) Bannister. Great grandchildren Eleni, Elpida and Niko Stefanoudakis. Millie is preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother, Wendell Ohnstad
