Milo Messner Obituary

We are the Body of Christ" Dr. Milo Messner died April 16, 2007 at his home in Colorado Springs at the age of 79. Milo was born March 10, 1928 in Trosky, MN, one of two sons of August and Genevieve Messner. He graduated from University of St. Thomas, St Paul, MN and University of South Dakota then proceeded to Marquette University School of Medicine. He and his wife, Patricia Ann Kramper moved to Colorado to complete his Orthopedic Surgical training at Denver General Hospital. He began his practice in Colorado Springs in 1965. Milo and Patricia shared 50 years together raising their five children; Mary (David) Moser, Anne (Pete Wray) Messner, Dr Michael (Catherine) Messner, Teresa (James) Pohlen and Julia (Michael) Trombley. Milo is also blessed with eleven grandchildren and is survived by his brother Dr. Duane (Jean) Messner. Milo dedicated his life to healing the Body of Christ through his medical practice and community ministry. Visitation will be on Thursday April 19, 2007 from 5:00 to7:00 pm at Swan-Law Funeral Home. A service will be at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, Friday April 20, 2007 at 1:00 pm. Contributions may be made to Marion House Soup Kitchen or the Rocky Mountain ALS Association.
