Mitchell Corso Obituary

December 22, 1987 - May 25, 2008. Mitchell Lee Corso, age 20, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1993 and formerly of Tennessee passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2008 as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Mitchell was born on December 22, 1987 in Nashville, Tennessee. He was a 2006 graduate of Widefield High School and had attended Pikes Peak Community College. He is survived by his parents: Terry and Terrie Elwood of Colorado Springs; his sister: Teresa (husband: Nathan) Olson of Colorado Springs; his daughter: Elizabeth; his paternal grandmother: Sarah Elwood of Colorado Springs and his maternal grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Gene Williams of Nashville, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Jerry Elwood and Richard Corso. Mitchell enjoyed working on cars and hanging out with his friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:30 PM on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Sunnyside Christian Church, 2025 N. Murray Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mitchell Corso Memorial Fund, in care of Ent Federal Credit Union, 3125 Jet Wing Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80916.

I'm still in such disbelief. I just keep thinking to myself that he can't be gone. I love you Mitchy. You were the best brother and friend. I couldn't have asked for more.

I will never see a 1969 Chevelle and not think of Mitch. He enjoyed working on and driving his car so much when we were together. Working on that car was a constant source of entertainment for us and remembering it always makes me smile. They will always make me think of him.
