Muriel Taubeneck Obituary

Muriel B. Taubeneck, a resident of Colorado Springs for 20 years, passed away April 8, 2013. She was a Payroll Accountant. Muriel was born on August 29, 1927 in Natick, Massachusetts to William and Catherine (Bonnyman) Alexander. She was married to Robert Taubeneck on March 29, 1946. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Neodesha United Methodist Church in Kansas. She enjoyed reading and sewing, and loved to sing. She also took great joy in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Although she was quiet, reserved, and extremely independent, she was funny and witty and was loved by everyone. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Taubeneck; her son, Alan (wife, Kathy) Taubeneck; her sister, Catherine Rosemberg; her grandchildren: Amy (husband, Brad), and Kelly; and her great-grandchildren: Liam, and Silas. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Taubeneck; an infant son, John Taubeneck; and her sister, Hazel Jorgensen. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel. Online Condolences: ShrineOfRemembrance.com

Muriel will be greatly missed by the Peters' family. We loved to get her to talk so we could listen to her accent. What a lovely individual with a huge heart. Our hearts and prayers go out to the family who will deeply miss her!
