Nancilee "Nan" Henrichsen July 10, 1930-June 6, 2007. Nancilee "Nan" Henrichsen died at her home in Lake Shastina, California on June 6, 2007. Nan was born in San Francisco, California on July 10, 1930 to her father Walter, a businessman and her mother, Dorothy, a homemaker. In the early 1950s, after attending Business College in Berkeley, Nan joined the Civil Service and worked in an Air Force hospital in Japan. While there, Nan found time to travel and with a girlfriend and climb Mount Fuji. She also met Richard Natzke, the man she later married. Together, they had three children, who were reared in Porterville, California where Nan was involved in the local Girl Scouts, PTA, Tulare County Medical Society Auxiliary, the Barn Theater and the Porterville Panther band 1974-1978. After her divorce, Nan and her Yorkie, "Bonnie Prince Charlie" moved to Colorado Springs where she focused her energies on her new life working for the First Presbyterian Church and where she said that she "met some forever friends." In the mid-1980s, Nan returned to California living first in Redwood City to be close to her elderly parents and then retiring to Lake Shastina. Nan spent her days loving God, surrounded by friends, practicing Tai Chi, gardening, reading and traveling to Ashland for the Shakespeare festival and San Francisco to see the ballet or hear a musical concert. At the time of her death, Nan was the vice-president of Chapter VV of the PEO Sisterhood as well as an active member of the Lake Shastina Community Bible Church. Nan will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and the many four-legged creatures for whom she housesat. Nan is survived by her brothers Walt of San Diego, California and Dave of Burney, California; her three children, Charlie Natzke of La Honda, California, Paul Natzke of Los Angeles, California, and Laura Natzke of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her three grandchildren Nic, Lance Corporal Chris (USMC) and Jamie Valesey, all of Colorado Springs; and her Yorkie terrier, Precious. Her parents and her sister, Gail Henwood, preceded her in death. Services will be held at the Lake Shastina Community Bible Church on Saturday, June 23 at one o'clock in the afternoon. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Chapter VV of the PEO Sisterhood, c/o Vi Rowe, 6600 Scarface Rd., Fort Jones, CA 96032.
