Nancy Becker Obituary

Nancy Survant Becker, 72, passed away March 8, 2006 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Nancy was born December 4, 1933 in Owensboro, Kentucky. She attended high school and college near Chicago, Illinois. Nancy was a military wife for nearly 20 years. She traveled throughout Europe and Taiwan before settling in Colorado Springs in the 1950's. She worked for Diner's Club and also worked as a caregiver for the elderly. In retirement, Nancy lived simply and independently. She loved music and was an accomplished pianist. She was continually searching for spiritual truths. Nancy loved reminiscing about old times with friends who seemed to love her perspective and sense of humor. Nancy is survived by two sons: Robert (Brenda) Becker of Castle Rock, Colorado and Bryan (Carolyn) Becker of Manitou Springs, Colorado; three grandchildren: Jason, Dylan and Max Becker; one step-grandchild, Nicole (Rick) Hayes of Parker, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents, Forest and Blanch Survant, and her maternal aunts: Nancy Oetting and Ann Donovan. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at the Blunt Mortuary Chapel at 2229 W. Colorado Avenue Colorado Springs, Colorado 80904.
