Nancy Robertson Obituary

Nancy Suzanne Robertson passed away July 15th, 2009 to be with her Lord and Savior. Nancy was born to the late Mary Lee and Eck Lee in Spearman Texas Nov.17th,1931 and came to Colorado Springs to attend Colorado Collage in 1949. That is where she met her true love and soul mate Don Robertson of Edmonton Alberta Canada. Don and Nancy married and lived in Edmonton for a year and a half and then came back to the city they loved, Colorado Springs. They made The Springs their permanent home for over 57 years. Don and Nancy have been a strong part of the community throughout the years. Nancy was an avid golfer having won many Club Championships through the years. She made many wonderful golfing friends that have lasted a lifetime. Nancy was a zoo docent for many years and loved learning about the animals and giving tours. She was also very active in the Junior League; and, she volunteered for many years at the Fine Art Center and the Deaf and Blind school. Nancy had a wonderful sense of humor and was very giving to her family and friends. She was loved and will be missed! Nancy is survived by her loving husband Don, her two wonderful daughters Linda Johnson-Conne and Debbie Elliott, her four grandchildren Megan Johnson, Nick Johnson, Lee Elliott, Jennifer Elliott and 2 Great grandchildren Kendrick Elliott and Kamryn Johnson. Services will be held on Sunday July 26th at the Broadmoor Community Church, 315 Lake Avneue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 809056 719-473-1807 at 1p.m. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers please send donations in Nancy's name to Evercare Hospice, 5450 Tech Center Dr. STE 120, CS 80919.

Peter and I wish to espress our sorrow on the death of Nancy. I had the pleasure of playing with her in a Broadmoor Member/Member tournament and of course we won. She was a great golfer and I loved talking to her. Diane and Peter Schunk
