Neora Kingery Obituary

Neora C. Kingery, age 91, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017 in East Texas after a brief illness. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Neora Caroline Cargill was born April 15, 1925 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to the late Neal C. and Lora E. (Masters) Cargill. She grew up on a ranch near Hitchcock, Oklahoma and graduated in 1943 from Hitchcock High School, proceeding to business school in Oklahoma City.

Soon thereafter, she moved to Colorado Springs and worked at Alexander Film Company. Concurrently, she was a hostess for events at Camp (Fort) Carson where, in late 1949, she met William H. Kingery; they married April 15, 1950. Throughout travels as a military family, Neora participated in multiple craft and social clubs and became an accomplished painter. They returned to Falcon, Colorado in 1983.

Neora's strongest role attested to her love for the Lord and, with her husband, was instrumental in leading her children and others to Christ.



She is survived by daughters, Sandra (Rip) Patrick of Palmer, Alaska, Pamela Kingery of St. Jo, Texas, and Lora (Tim) Davis of Omaha, Texas; son, Andrew (Amy) Kingery of Penrose, Colorado; brother, Robert (Sandra) Cargill of Burns, Oregon; and sister, Dorothy (Lonnie) Kennedy of Colorado Springs. Neora had sixteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William in 1989, and sister, Winona Strain, also in 1989.

Graveside Service, 12:15PM, Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, Colorado 80235, where she will be interred with her husband.
