I just received the news from Bill Legg, my heart felt thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

It has taken me some time to put this into words. My heartfelt love and sympathy goes out to the whole Barbara family. I have very fond memories of high school and college with Nick. What a good friend and great one of many "older brothers to me". My heart is with you through this difficult time and know that Nick will be missed and loved by the many friends he made while with us!

I'm sorry to hear about your family's loss. My family still remembers the good times that we had when I was on the Flame soccer team with Nick.

Dear Judi, Paul and Jessica,

Just heard today (Dec.30)about Nick....We are so shocked and saddened. I cannot even begin to know the heartbreak you must feel. We have such fond memories of our first friends in our new neighborhood when we moved to "Gatehouse" in Briargate! He was the cutest little boy I had ever laid eyes on...and that infectious SMILE!!! Can't believe how time has flown! You are all in our prayers...Adam, Tanner, Holli, Jayla, Brian, Brianne and Taylor all send their thoughts and prayers....we love you and will keep you in our prayers...and hug our children extra tight...

My heart breaks for this tragedy ... Nick was such a joy to be around and always had a contagious joy and exuberance about him. He will be greatly missed.

I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of Nick. He was a wonderful person and a great friend, and he will be dearly missed...my thoughts and prayers are with all who knew and loved him.

Nick will be forever loved and missed. My prayers go out to the entire Barbara family.

Nick was my Academic Counselor at UoP and was one of my favorites, he was always very polite and responsive, to a full time student with family and a full time job this was important. As I'm sure his family and friends knew, his light had shown bright. My condolences to his family and friends, I'm sure he will be missed greatly.

We have so many fun memories of Nick while he was in his middle school years. Always the gentleman, who was a true kind friend to everyone. We are so sorry to hear this tragic news. Our prayers and thoughts will continue to be with you.

I can't imagine how you might feel right now, but just know that you have been in my prayers and thoughts every day, and will continue to be. I only met Nick once, but I must agree with you...he did have a smile that lit up the room. It just makes you wonder why this would happen to him.
