Nicholas DeAngelo Obituary

Nicholas Pierce deAngelo, 23, beloved son of Margo Bramell and Lucius deAngelo passed away November 1, 2007. Nicholas graduated from Corpus Christi Elementary and Air Academy High School. In both schools his academic achievements and contributions to the community demonstrated a young man of considerable promise. He played hockey in several city leagues as well as at Air Academy High School. While in high school, Nicholas was nominated and selected to the National Society of Mathematicians and held positions of leadership in ROTC. Thereafter, he attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO. Nicholas loved Colorado - mountains, camping, fishing, skiing, and his passion was duck and pheasant hunting with his father and Pepper (his German wirehair). The Pheasants Forever Pikes Peak Chapter enjoyed numerous successful fundraising banquets and other events for the active participation of its youngest member, Nicholas deAngelo. For several years, Nicholas assisted in the planting of thousands of tree saplings in the surrounding counties to include the replanting following the Hayman Fire. Of his numerous accomplishments, he planned, organized, and oversaw the planting of nearly 750 saplings in the vicinity of Bethune, CO resulting in achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. Words cannot express the loss, and how much Nicholas will be missed by his numerous friends, family and especially his parents. A memorial service will be held at Corpus Christi Church, 2318 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, CO, on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SPP, Pikes Peak Region, 2860 S. Circle Dr., Colorado Springs, CO 80906.
