Nicholas S. Demos, age 87, passed away on October 19, 2025, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born March 6, 1938 in "The Springs" to Sam and Dorothy Demos.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dorothy "Dot" of forty-two years and two sisters, Katherine Demos and Irene Arapkiles.
He graduated from Colorado Springs High School in 1961. He then taught school at Palmer High School of School District 11 for the next twenty-two years. After taking an early retirement option, he spent the next thirty years in the real estate business.
He and his family enjoyed spending time at their cabin in Buena Vista, Colorado. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and outdoorsman, making many trips to Alaska, his favorite destination.
He is survived by his sons Nicholas S. Demos Jr. of Broomfield, Colorado. Brent H. Demos (and wife Kimber) of Colorado Springs, Colorado and four grandchildren, Brianne Demos, Alexi and Husband Hermes Abreu, Kyle Demos and Ryan Demos. Also surviving him is his brother, George Demos (and wife Pan) of Colorado Springs and his companion Millie Snyder of Colorado Springs.
A private interment and small memorial service will be held at a future time as he has requested.
