Nicholas Lovitt Obituary

Nicholas Lee Lovitt, 71, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday April 24th, 2016. He was born to Delmar and Ellen Lovitt on June 9th, 1944 in Baltimore, MD. The family moved to the Colorado Springs area in 1957. He graduated from Widefield in 1961, attended Western Michigan, and served in the US Army, stationed in Korea.

Nick worked successfully in the Real Estate and property management fields for 50 years. He was named an "Outstanding Young Man of America" in 1975, and served as president of the Colorado Springs Board of Realtors in 1982.

He is survived by children Genevieve, Darius, and Jamie, sister Bonnie ( Patrick) Hart, niece Lori (Eric) Henkels, nephew Patrick(Jenny) Hart, brother Lindsay Lovitt, and beloved extended family & close friends.

Nick was a lifetime NY Yankee fan and enjoyed watching CC hockey, but most of all spending time with friends and family. Nick was full of joy, and made the most of every day. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him.

Memorial services will be held at the Capadonna Funeral Home at 2pm on May 14th, 2016.
