Nick Naples Obituary

Nick Naples, our sweet "old soul," began his adventurous life on Earth on November 4, 1994 and began his perfect life with God on June 30, 2012. Nick lived a lifetime in his 17 years. Laurie and Larry are his proud parents, blessed and honored to have had Nick as their youngest son. Nick is loved, respected, and admired by his brothers Jon, Ben (and his most-loving wife Jessica), Justin, and Mikel. He is missed by his dogs Scout and Juno. Nick will forever be with his dear love Katey, his girlfriend, who brought tremendous joy and love to his life. Watching Nick and Katey together was always entertaining as they were continuously planning new adventures together. Nick recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout with Woodland Park Boy Scout Troop 230. Nick finished his Eagle Service Project by designing and installing a Frisbee golf course at the Woodland Park Middle School. He invites the entire community to enjoy this course and play there. Nick was a proud tuba player for the award-winning Woodland Park High School marching band and an honor student, earning a 4.0 GPA in his last semester. Nick also participated on the WPHS track team as a pole-vaulter. Nick also was a member of the Mountain View United Methodist Church where he played the guitar in the Youth Praise Band. Nick was a faithful servant of God, and traveled on many mission trips with his youth group. He helped wherever and whenever needed and he took great joy in giving to others. Nick was blessed with too many friends to name, and loved them all very much. Being with his friends, hiking, fishing, camping, snowboarding, and "hanging with his bros" enjoying a good bonfire together made him the happiest. Nick lived life to the fullest and never wasted a day. Each day he had a plan and he saw it through to completion. Nick's favorite days were the ones that were spent with family and friends, lying on his hammock, and playing his guitar. Music was his life and he lived each day like a song. At the end of Nick's life here on Earth, he continues to give to others as an organ donor. Nick wants all who love him and mourn his death to Carpe Diem ("Seize the Day!")
