Nila Bader, born August 22, 1933, passed away on April 23, 2025. She was born to Cecil and Hazel Wright in Russell Springs, Kansas. Nila moved to Colorado Springs with her family in October 1941.
Nila is a descendant of Orville Wright, of the Wright Brothers. She attended schools in Colorado Springs, and graduated from Colorado Springs High School in 1951 (now Palmer High School). Nila worked at Hewlett Packard for 27 years. She enjoyed sports, traveling, and dancing.
Nila had four children: LorriAnn Burnham, Michael Bader (Diane) Christine Ballou (Lonnie) and Cynthia Bader. She has 7 grandchildren: Heather Allea, Jason Burnham (Jana), Jim Burnham, Christopher Burnham, Ryan Bader, Amanda Bader, and Krystle Ballou. She also has 5 great grandchildren: Corbin Vorwald, Coltin Vorwald, McKinzay Burnham, Madelyn Burnham, and Jaydin Roybal. Nila had a lifetime friend Margaret Shuff, and a BFF Dorothy Sisko Williams, and special niece Kathy Cooper (Greg).
Nila was preceded in passing by her parents, her daughter Lorri Ann Burnham, sister Mona Pilant, brother Kenneth Wright, and brothers-in-law Norm Pilant and John Pitneko.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Nila's memory to the ALS Association.

I purchased the home on Jon st. Upon cleaning out the shed and attic I have found many family photos and memories including Nil´s childhood book. I have kept them put away. If anyone in the family would like them please reach out out via email. Thank you and I am sorry to see this news.
