Noah Kelly Obituary

Noah Martin Kelly passed in his sleep on Monday, June 28, 2010. He was 28 years old and had built a name for himself as a stand-up comedian. He recently won the Last Comic Standing contest for the city of Colorado Springs. Noah was a tender-hearted family man and a devoted friend, brother, son, and uncle. Noah was also a naturally gifted athlete, poet, writer and fierce competitor. He had a knack for making people laugh until they cried and he lit up the faces of everyone he met. His talent for seeing the humor in life was second to none. The love he showed for his family and friends has truly blessed all of us and our lives are better because he played a part. Noah is survived by his parents Kevin and Bonnie; his siblings Amos and LeAnne, Caleb and Abby, Levi and Katie, and Jordan; and the hundreds of cousins, nephews, aunts, uncles, and grandparents who love him and will forever miss him. Memorial Service will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, July 3, 2010 at the World Prayer Center Chapel, 11025 Voyager Parkway.

Not sure what to say?

I would like to say I just recently found out about his passing two years ago. I did not know he was gone. I would have graduated with him in the class of 2000, but I got held back. He always made me laugh. I was always down because I got bullied a lot, and he brought me back up. Noah was awesome, I wish I would have known, a lot of my friends I knew have passed and I did not know about it.

To Noah's family, I would like you to know I knew Noah as a child when we went to elementary school together. I have not seen or spoken to him in many years. But even as a childhood friend he left a inspiring impression in my life. I have never forgot about my friend and never will.I am glad Noah was part of my life even if it was so many years ago. I am very saddened by your loss.

FOUR CANDLES FOR YOU
The first candle represents our grief. The pain of losing you is intense. It reminds us of the depth of our love for you.
The second candle represents our courage. To confront our sorrow. To comfort each other. To change our lives and be more like you.
The third candle we light in your memory. For the times we laughed till we cried; for the times we cried and you made us laugh. The times we were angry with eachother. The silly things you did. The caring and the joy you gave to us.
The fourth candle we light for our love. We light this candle that your light will always shine. As we enter into this new day, we share this verse of remembrance with our family. We cherish the special place in our hearts that will always be reserved for you Noah. We thank you for the gift your living brought to each of us.
We love you.
We remember you.
We miss you.

Love, Aunt Wrayanne and Cousin Joey

July 1, 2010

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
