Noe Romero passed away on January 17, 2022 at the age of 96 years old. Born in San Luis, Colorado to Jose Anastacio and Francisca Romero and is the sixth of eight children. At the age of 17, he volunteered for the US Navy and bravely served aboard the USS Yorktown until the end of WWII. He was proud to have taken part in some of the fiercest and key battles of the Pacific and was willing to share his experiences with all who asked. Noe continued to support our military through his work as a cook at the United States Air Force Academy from which he retired after 23 years of service. Friends were abundant in his life. As he outlived most of his generation of friends, he attracted a new generation of friends with his easy-going personality and unique sense of humor.



Noe is survived by Orelia "Angie", his loving wife of 70 years. Other survivors include daughter, Mary Ella (Dave) Marchbank, his two sons, Alan and Norman, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.



Visitation will be February 4, 2022 at 6:00 pm, followed by Rosary at 7:00 pm at Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Funeral Home, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80910.



Services will be held February 5, 2022 at 10:00 am at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church 1539 Yampa Dr., Colorado Springs, CO 80909.



A reception will be held at the Community Center following mass.
