Nora Hanson Obituary

Nora Hanson of Rochester, MN was granted her angel wings on Wednesday, March 1st. She passed peacefully in her sleep at home. She was born April 9th 1959, to Roger Tollakson and Solveigh Hanson.

Nora's passions were her family, photography, music, nature, and animals. She adopted and fostered many animals. She was an amazing mother, loving wife, caring grandmother, and incredible friend. Nora had a wild spirit that touched every soul. She was a beautiful, strong independent woman with an infectious laugh that could bring a smile to anyone. Her heart was so big you could not help but be inspired to care and love more. Her carefree and laid back personality reminded us all to slow down and enjoy this life we are given.

Nora is survived by her husband Douglas Rhoads, father Roger (Linda) Tollakson, stepfather Myron Anderson, son Joshua (Amanda) Johnshoy, grandson Logan, granddaughter Lauren, dogs Callie and Nick, brothers Scott Tollakson and Tim Tollakson and sisters Missy (Tony) Devine and Angie Russo along with many extended family and friends. Nora was preceded in death by her mother Sally, brother Roger Tollakson, and sister Claudia Anderson. A private memorial will be held later in the spring.
