Norma Jean Morrell was born in Franklin, Ohio to Willard and Sarah Frazier Jeffery. Norma passed away suddenly one year after her husband of 67 years passed away; and was surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Jeffery (Mary); as well as her beloved daughter, Amy Margaret.
Graduating from Franklin High School, she married her husband, Bruce and began her adventures as an an Air Force Officers wife. Norma attended one year at the University of Dayton before beginning her family, starting with Marjorie, followed by Bruce Jr., Amy, and Andrew.
She continued her education at the UCCS while raising four children. Finally, she completed her degree in education at Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio. After a rather brief career as a grade school teacher, Norma changed course; began another successful career in real estate. When her husband retired from the Air Force they returned to the place they both loved, and built their retirement home. Eventually, Norma opened a ReMax Office and became a broker.
Norma earned a reputation locally and was recognized for her business integrity. Norma lived by example and many regarded her for her elegance, wisdom and insightful manner. She was famous for "witticism" with humor that was subtle but insightful; that left the rest of us to ponder it. She loved the Lord and she lived a life that showed his guiding light. She was the families strong, yet not overpowering matriarch; she was just right.
Service for Norma is October 12, 2018, 11:00am at the First United Methodist Church, 420 N. Nevada Ave., C/S.
