Norma Smiley Obituary

Norma Jean Smiley was born to Charles and Catherine Reed on March 9, 1935 in Des Moines, Iowa. She married Calvin H. Smiley on July 31, 1952 in Des Moines, Iowa, and they moved to Colorado Springs in 1957. She died in her home at age 77 on January 13, 2013. She is preceded in death by her husband, Calvin H. Smiley, grandson David W. Clayton, grandson-in-law Sgt. Gordon Misner, four brothers Bud, John, Jerry and Jim Reed and one sister Marilyn (Reed) Martin. She is survived by her sons Randy, Rick and James Smiley; daughters Vickie Gillen and Pam Fryer; sisters Joyce Houge and Patricia Loyd; 12 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. A viewing will be held Monday, January 21, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Memorial Gardens. Services will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Friendship Assembly of God Church, 3685 New Center Point Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80922. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
