Norman Robertson Obituary

Norman K. Robertson, age 81, passed away August 15, 2009 at a local hospital. He was a 40 year resident of the Pikes Peak region. Norman Keith Robertson was born March 25, 1928 in McCracken, Kansas to Harold and Marie (Juvenal) Robertson. He completed high school in Cheraw, CO in 1946. He served two years in the U.S. Army with a tour in S. Korea. Next Norm became a Medical Technologist (M.T., ASCP). He married Carolyn Barr on August 30, 1958 in Loveland, Colorado. They lived in Pueblo for ten years before locating in Black Forest. He worked at St. Francis Hospital for more than twenty years. After his family, Norm's greatest love was flying. He flew and gave flying lessons until heart problems grounded him. He was a life member of NRA. After retirement, Norm enjoyed restoring old cars. He also devoted many volunteer hours to the rehabilitation of the historic Black Forest Log School. Norman is survived by his wife of fifty years, Carolyn "Carrie", a son Bruce and his wife Gena, and grand daughter Shelby, all of Black Forest. He was preceded in death by his son Brian Robertson who left two sons, Christopher and Gregory. A brother, Phillip, of Pueblo also survives. The family will honor his request of no services.
