Met Norman in college. We became good friends and I was invited to join him on a three month trip to Europe where we visited several countries. We saw many sites and made great memories. The chances of a country boy from SE Ohio making such a trip was blessing and so highly improbable. I knew very little of that world we visited but it inspired me to take a livelong interest in history that I still do. I think of Norm often and forever grateful to him for enriching my life. Leb wohl mein frieund.

Norm was a friend that I met at Ohio University. For a while, we were roommates. In the early 1980's, my wife and I visited Norm and his family near Nuernberg Germany and later in Colorado Springs. We really enjoyed with Norm and family to Bavaria to visit various attractions. I will definitely miss him.

We were both hired at the Ft Carson Education Center as Guidance Counselors around the same time in Aug/Sep 1991. He had quite the sense of humor and was always ready with a story to share. He genuinely cared about helping Soldiers succeed in their educational endeavors and for that matter their life's pursuits as well. I particularly remember how kind and considerate he was when he brought small wooden ducks back for each of his colleagues on one of his trips to Germany. I still have mine. RIP. Hoch soll er leben.
