Otmer Gorrell Obituary

April 29, 2007 Our patriarch, our father It is hard to believe that one year ago you physically left our world. However, you have never left our souls. Not a day goes by that we do not remember the man who was so much to so many: a dedicated and loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, son, uncle, soldier and friend. We see you hiking the Colorado Mountains, toiling in your beloved garden, and playing chess, Trivial Pursuit and Hearts. We hear your deliberate, steady footsteps above us, and your humming as you "play with your stamps", or add to our family genealogy. We feel your deep voice resonate within us when you speak; and the strength of your big hands when you hold ours. Most of all, we feel the dedication you instilled in our family that is daily embraced and reflected in our steadfast commitment to one another. As we have been blessed with your life, so too has yours - witnessing from the heavens above - your wisdom, honor, and love, carried on in our hearts and lives forever. We miss you deeply. Forever in our thoughts, your wife, Brigitte; children, Byron, Pam, Debbie, Aaron; and an extended loving family.
