Pamela Dawn Puterbaugh, 49, of Colorado Springs, was born on November 1, 1972, to Phillip Dale Puterbaugh and Beatrice Kathryn Puterbaugh, and passed away on September 8, 2022, after a long and brave battle with dysautonomia and mast cell activation syndrome.
She is survived by her father, Phillip Dale Puterbaugh, her stepmother, Carol Wisely-Puterbaugh, and her older brother, Kent David Puterbaugh.
Early in life, Pamela, as an honor student, developed a strong interest in writing, especially poetry. In the 5th grade she placed 1st in a statewide writing competition. In the 6th grade she was in a gifted and talented class. As a college student she attended Colorado Christian University in Lakewood, Colorado and later entered a summer writing program at Oxford University in England, placing 2nd in her class.
Her faith in God led her to serving on mission trips to California, Mexico and France. Later she worked as an insurance agent for Progressive Insurance, and as a travel agent for Globus & Cosmos in Littleton and for Cain Travel in Boulder.
A celebration of life service will be held at Vista Grande Community Church at 5460 N. Union Blvd. on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at 2:00 PM to include time to share memories of Pamela, followed by refreshments. Those wishing to make donations may do so to a charitable organization of their choosing.
