Pamela Schaefer Obituary

Pamela Seiple Schaefer May 27, 1945 - August 19, 2008 Pamela Seiple Schaefer (63), passed away on August 19, 2008. She was born on May 27, 1945, in Bethlehem, PA to James E. and the late Lauretta Tischler Seiple. Pam grew up in PA and worked for AT&T Technologies before moving to Colorado with her family in 1986. She was active for many years as a volunteer in the Colorado Springs community. She served as a victim's advocate for the former Center for the Prevention of Domestic Violence, and as a member of the Humane Society's Petmobile group in addition to helping on the committee to organize the first Furr Ball fundraiser for the Center. An active member of the Fine Arts Center for many years, she gave much of her time to the former Volunteer's Association. Pam dearly loved her family and friends, her critters, art, decorating, entertaining, reading, and shopping! She never passed up an opportunity to visit a mall. Her greatest joy in her life, however, was spending time with her grandchildren. Pam is survived by her father and stepmother, James and Joanne Seiple, of Lake Placid, FL; sister, Lynn Paiz (Rick), of Center Valley, PA; sons Daniel Schaefer (wife Lori) of Allentown, PA and James (wife Angie) of Aurora, CO; three grandchildren, Jay, Camryn and Anthony; two nephews William and Paul Weiner, and great niece, Kyley, all of PA. Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 27th at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80903. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

My condolences to the family of Pam. I think about the times we spent together growing up on Second Avenue and the white rabbit (Pinky) that you gave us when you moved. It was nice to have your family as neighbors. My prayers are with you.

We are so sorry to hear of Pam's untimely death. She was such a vibrant person and we shared some fun times together in the Village in addition to helping her with her real estate needs.
And yes, she did indeed love to shop! And she was a truly beautiful person both outside and in.
My deepest sympathies to her boys, grandchildren and family.
Fondly,
Susan and Gary Cuddeback
