Pat Lysinger Obituary

Her family, friends in Colorado Springs and elsewhere, and associates on Broadway and the business mourn the passing of Pat Lysinger, who died in Colorado Springs on June 28, 2016. Patty went to New York in 1965 and quickly landed her first Broadway show, understudying Barbara Harris in "On a Clear Day You Can See Forever." She went on to appear in "No, No, Nanette;" "Dames at Sea" and a host of other on and off-Broadway shows. Over the course of a twenty-five year career she appeared in hundreds of television commercials and voice spots. She was a lifetime and loyal member of Equity, SAG and AFTRA. Later in Colorado Springs, she became a classical music announcer for KCME radio, and an enthusiastic volunteer for Penrose Hospital and other organizations. Everyone loved Patty, and she is so missed. She is survived by her Michael of 25 years, their four children, and her siblings, nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the organization that became the light of her life: The National Alliance on Mental Illness, 510 E Willamette Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.

Pat and I worked together at the Goodspeed Opera House, and then on Broadway in New York. Her talent was stellar, but her personality outshone even that. I can't think of that time in my life without smiling. I'm sending her family love and sincere condolences.

Hey Patty, remember that time you bought me a puppy and Dad went to the dark side? Yeah, that was cool. Oh, and thanks for steering me into the Classical side of Music. Gonna miss ya. Love you. Your Baby Brother...
