Patrice and I worked together at the YMCA in Boulder. She was my aide and we also were roommates. I just found out in 2023. Sometimes wondering what happened to your friends hurts more than expected.

Nicole was my first and best friend, she showed me kindness and empathy that I live by to this day. Nicole was the person to make sure that everyone felt included, that everyone was being kind and fair to each other. She brightened the lives of every person in her presence.
My favorite memory was the day I spent at her house playing guitar hero or some version of that, singing Beatles songs with her dad, and then visited a local pumpkin patch. I was 9 then, I am 19 now, and I will always cherish that moment and consider Nicole as my closest friend. I always imagine that wed grow up and play music together, that wed be each others shoulders to lean on. Though we didnt get that opportunity its something that I have followed through on for her, and when I am feeling like giving it up I remember that moment.
Nicole would have changed the world with her kindness and I strive to do the work she didnt have to opportunity to do herself.
Thank you, Nicole, for the light that you have brought into my life.

May the memories live on, forever in our hearts.

We were out of town and with timing could not make it to the services. I keep awaiting Patrice's next phone call and it saddens me to know it will not be coming. I know her and Nicole are held by the light and now are part of something even bigger than life. I will miss going running with Patrice and stopping to dance and laugh on the way, listening to all her positive affirmations, and Nicole's hugs and friendship to my son. God has the final plan and destiny and while I will never understand it, I know he has them close now and they are shining upon us all each and every day/night. Much love to them, their friends, and most of all to their family.

I haven't seen or spoken to Patrice since we were together at Benet Hill Academy and we went to Coronado High School where we graduated together. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I still have a hard time believing that Patrice and Nicole are gone. But what an awesome Christmas they are having this year, walking with Jesus himself...someday, we will all be together again and singing the joyous praises of our Lord together. Lynne Flores (Hillsboro, IL)
