I miss you every day Mom, and I think about you every day. You're especially on my mind today because it's Mothers Day, and it makes me sad to see all of the people out with their mom's for brunches and dinners, bringing them flowers and little gifts of love. I wish I had been around more, and told you how much I loved you more often. I know you would have liked that too, but not once did you ever let me think that I was anything other than the perfect son. You were a wonderful mother, and one of the most selfless people I know, especially when it came to your kids. Someone today asked me where my Mom was, and I said that you had passed away, but that I feel you and see you as part of me (I'm really part of YOU) I also said that I missed you, but that I see you in my brothers and sister...and I mean REALLY in my sister! They all have strength of character and kindness that only could have come from you. Your good qualities and kind loving heart are forever. Thank you.

My little babe you are in my thoughts every minute of every day. I feel your spirit surrounding me all the time and that gives me the strength to make it through every day because that's what you would want me to do. Some of that strength rubbed off on me through the years we were together and i"m grateful that you were willing to share it with your children and me.
Yes, babe you were a once in a lifetime. Your loving husband, Gene

What a sad time this has been since you left our lives. We all enjoyed your wicked sense of humor and your loving spirit. Our Bunko nights have been missing you and we always speak of you at each meeting. So you are truely
and warmly loved. I hope your heavenly garden is keeping you busy and that you have a chance to look down on the one that you loved so much here. I'll always remember you and your hugs.

When I was in Boy Scouts, my scoutmaster asked for a letter of recommendation from you before I could advance a rank. Some months later, he told me "I hope your mother is feeling bettter." I didn't even know you were sick then, fighting cancer. In spite of that, you took me to every scout meeting, every patrol meeting and every campout. You made sure I was warm and had the best eats in the troop.

You made me who I am. You gave me a strong sense of right and wrong. You gave me compassion. You gave me love. You still give me strength.

You also brought Gene into our lives. It's easy to understand how he made you so happy. He's easy to love.

I miss you.

Mom I think about you every day, but especially on your birthday. I keep thinking of things I wish I had thanked you for before you died. Like never going to school without a HOT breakfast (who does that anymore?). Like never letting me come home to an empty house. Like arguing with me, and winning, when I wanted to do something stupid like go out on a date on a snowy night (actually I still a little mad about that one). Like teaching me to stick up for the underdog, with actions, not just words. You were the BEST mom ever! Love, Benjie

Mom, I think of you every day and I miss you so very much. You touched everyone you knew with love, compassion and optimism - we are better people because of you. You taught me by your example and I will always be grateful to be your daughter. You made a difference in this world.

I love you,
Leslie
