Patricia Casner Obituary

January 13, 1920 - November 26, 2008
Patricia passed away peacefully, with her companion of 68 years by her side, at the Springs Village Care Center. She had been in declining health for several weeks. Pat was born in Detroit, MI to Clara and William Osborne. After her mother died when she was only 5, Pat was raised by her grandparents, Alfred and Mary Ann Osborne. She grew up in Port Huron, MI. She met Milfred M. "Casey" Casner in 1939 and they were married on December 6, 1940 in Port Huron. They made thier first home in Flint, MI until WWII seperated them from 1942-1945. Later they fell in love with Colorado and moved to Colorado Springs in 1954. Pat worked for the US Postal Service for many years. Pat was gifted with her hands and made many beautiful clothes, crochet items, and needlepoint projects over the years. Her handiwork was sometimes sold at church bazaars and craft fairs. She loved the Lord and was especially fond of the old time hymns. She was a loved wife, mother, grandmother, neighbor, and friend. She is survived by her husband, Casey; her son Gary (Pat) Casner of Westminster, CO; her daughter Carole Casner of Colorado Springs; her grandson Jacob (Kristina) Casner of Colorado Springs; her great- granddaughter Tawny Richey of Westminster, CO; and her great-great granddaughter Saylor, also of Westminster. She is also survived by many extended family members. Arrangements are being handled by Cappadona Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Silver Key Senior Service, 2250 Bott Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80904.

Casey and family I am sure Pat will be missed very much. I didn't know Pat that well but Casey and I were good friends as we spent many years together in the Air Force Reserves. Casey talked about Pat very much and know he loved her dearly. I am sure she will be missed.
