Patricia (Patt) May Collie Cooper Regester Selby, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother passed away October 23, 2022. Patricia was born May 1, 1935, to Reatha Collie and Don Collie, stepfather Rex Cooper. Patt lived and breathed her family, she was the proudest mother of her three boys and her stepchildren Johnny Selby, Mike Selby, and Denise Selby. She always said, "I'm the luckiest mama alive to have my family." We will forever miss her smile and laughter, a beautiful, sweet spirit who lived life to the fullest! Patt is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, James Selby. Her children Terry (Tonna), Bob (Becky), David (Lori), Johnny and Mike. You would never have a conversation with her where she didn't talk about her love for her family, how proud she was of their accomplishments and how lucky she felt to have the family she had. Patt and Jim like to travel in their RV, spending summers with friends and stopping to see family and making memories along the way. The stories they would have, always had the room crying in laughter. As a grandmother she loved her grandchildren, Chad (Julie), Bobby (Angela), Stephanie (Mike), Christi, Brandon, Amy, Bethany and Justin. The times they spent together were filled with fun and love. When the great grand kids (17) and the great-great grandbabies (5) came along she beamed, what pride and joy she felt. Her sole purpose truly was her family and friends in this life. She will be missed tremendously; we lost an incredible woman and Heaven gained a beautiful Angel. Patt is survived by her sisters: Donna Clifford, half-sisters Connie Baldwin, Kathleen Johnson and half-brother Jim Collie. Numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends that filled her life with love and memories. She is so dearly missed by her little, Collie, her puppy that is so lost without her mommy.
Patt was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Regester, her parents Rex and Reatha Cooper, Father Don Collie, brothers Carl Collie (Glenda) and Dale Collie, sister Alice Cooper, daughter Denise, granddaughter Kayla, great grandson Matthew Regester, nephew Donny Collie.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Abbey Event Complex, 2951 E. US Hwy 50, Canon City, CO 81212 at November 16, 2022 at 1:00 PM.
