Patricia Ellen Donovan, 87, died in the comfort of her beautiful home surrounded by her sons, on January 15, 2023. She is preceded in death by her sister, Mary Jane Murphy and her husband, Richard Williamson. Her sisters Maureen Schell (Chicago), Joyce Laidley (Lake Geneva, WS) and her children Thomas, Daniel, Kevin Donovan (Colorado Springs, CO) and daughter, Melanie Silva (Lexington, NC) along with her 10 beloved grandchildren (Paul Silva, Anne Silva, Laura Silva, Julie Turley, Eamon Donovan, David Donovan, Erin Hammond, Matthew Donovan, Shannon Donovan) and two great grandchildren (Annalee Silva and Eoin Donovan), are still living.
Patty was born on June 3, 1935 in Chicago, to Larry and Ethyl Murphy. This family were members of St. Barnabas Parish and they attended high school at Academy of Our Lady. On May 11th,1957, Pat married Thomas C Donovan at St Barnabas. They moved to Colorado Springs in 1966. Pat was an ardent and dedicated mother. She was always there for her children and loved them to her last moment on Earth. She worked for the Archdiocese of Colorado Springs as an administrative assistant to two bishops. On July 27,2008, Patty married Richard Williamson and moved back to the Midwest. Pat had many hobbies; she was an excellent cook and baker, she loved interior design and was a pianist and an artist. Pat played golf and lived for her Bridge games.
Patty was buried at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Chicago, IL. A Celebration of Life will be held March 15, 10am at Sacred Heart Church in Colorado Springs, CO.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Pikes Peak Hospice (Donate Today - Pikes Peak Hospice . Online condolences may be left at https://www.donnellanfuneralhome.com.
