Patricia Jane (Nuttall) Lewis

Patricia Jane Nuttall was born August 26th in Pittsburgh, PA, to Francis J. "Frank" Nuttall and C. Elizabeth (Kelly) Nuttall. From first grade through High School, she lived in Clairton, PA.
While attending college in Lutherville, MD (north of Baltimore), she met Charles Edward Lewis, who then was a Midshipman at the U.S. Naval Academy. When Charles graduated, he was commissioned in the Air Force. They were married December 21st, 1953. Together they had five children: David, Susan, Martha (now Marti), Mary, and Ruth.
She moved with her husband to his Air Force assignments in Texas, Arizona, Texas, Florida, North Dakota, Texas, California, Pennsylvania and Colorado. She remained in the United States while he served remote tours, in Korea in 1960, and in Vietnam in 1968.
She was a church organist for a short while at Lynch Immanuel Lutheran Church, just outside Minot AFB near Glenburn, ND, north of Minot. Later, she was church organist at Faith Lutheran Church in Dennison, TX. She was a Cub Scout Den leader in Dennison, TX. She was a Girl Scout Leader in Sewickley, PA, and in Colorado Springs, CO. Later she was a Leader Trainer. She was a life-time member of Girl Scout Leadership.
She was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church where she served many years as one of the Deacons. She was a member of The Retired Officers' Wives, where she was president one year and Chaplain for several years. She was a member of The Daughters of the Nile Ruhamah Temple.
She is survived by her husband, her five children, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., at Ascension Lutheran Church, 2505 N. Circle Dr., Colorado Springs, CO, 80909.
