Patricia Lockhart Obituary

Lockhart
Patricia Ann
(Lilly) Lockhart
March 3, 1949
November 2, 2025

Patty was born on March 3, 1949, in Greeley, Colorado. She attended St. Peter school and then transferred to College High School (now University High); She finished her education at UNC with a BA in Social Studies. She was married to Doug Lockhart, but they later divorced.
It was at this time that she relocated to Colorado Springs. Her organizational skills led her to work in office management, usually in a construction office. During this part of her life, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and became a two-time survivor. This experience only strengthened her will to give back and she began volunteering at the hospital gift shop.
The Pikes Peak Road Runners was another organization that she joined. After running for a few years, she began instead to volunteer her organizational skills to the running community. For many years she became the go to person for the weekly races and a person that they all depended on. It was obvious to us that they had all become her second family. Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by neighbors and runners alike. The entire Lilly family wishes to offer our heartfelt thanks to all of this extended family who showed so much love to our family and kindly organized a reception at the YMCA.
Patty was predeceased by her parents Ed and Blanche (Roetker) Lilly, Brothers; John, Thomas, and Kevin, nephews; Duff, Christopher and Johnmichael
She is survived by her brothers: Michael (Idaho), Mark (La Fayette) and Tim (Greeley) and a sister, Lynda (Greeley).
Also, in Greeley are: Amy, Ian, Nathan, Lindsey, Demetri, Matt.
Johnstown family: Sandy, Jen, Aaron, Kylie, Hannah, Kaiden, Mariah, Chris, and Lexi.
Ft. Collins family: Judy, Bryan, Shelli, Ayla, Janelyn, and Cooper.
The Aussies: Max and Opal
A service is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 21st at 1 pm. Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd, Colo. Springs.
A second service will be scheduled later in Greeley
Please send any donations to the Pkes Peak Road Runners.

I want to express my deepest sympathy to the Lilly family members. My twin sister, Janis, Patty and I were classmates at St. Peter's Catholic School. Patty's birthday was the day before ours. Therefore, our moms would bring birthday treats to the class on the same day. I will miss getting birthday and Christmas cards from Patty.
Sincerely,
Janet (Burger) Krause

I reconnected with Pat Lockhart at a Pikes Peak Road Runners board meeting in early 2024, having previously met her several times while she assisted at the registration table for the club´s monthly Nielsen Challenge 2-mile race.

She was immediately welcoming and continued to guide me as I learned the workings of the board during my brief tenure.

At that initial meeting, it became clear that Pat managed - or played a central role in - an extraordinary number of club activities. It will be extremely difficult, and arguably impossible, for the club to find someone willing to assume such a broad and sustained level of responsibility.

Pat will be deeply missed.

Pat was my parents´ neighbor-who quickly became part of our family-has passed away. She was the kind of person who made the whole street feel warmer just by being there. Always so kind, always smiling, always ready with a wave or a sweet word.

She wasn´t just a neighbor to us; she was a piece of home. Someone whose presence made everything feel a little brighter. That street just won´t be the same without her. She will be deeply, deeply missed.

Pat and I volunteered at the gift shop together for over 7 years. She was a very kind lady. I was very shocked by the news of her sudden passing. My heart goes out to her family.
