Patricia Mooney Obituary

Patricia Ann (McCall) Mooney, age 66, died Monday, February 28, 2011 in a horse riding accident. Pat was preceded in death by her father, David H. McCall, and her mother, Emma Jean (Branham) McCall Trimble. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Michael R. Mooney; her son, Michael Ross Mooney of Aurora, CO; daughter, Heather Mooney Henniger, son-in-law Rai Henniger, and grandchildren Grace Linn, Emma McCall, and Benjamin Rai Henniger of Colorado Springs; her brother, Richard H. McCall of OH; her sisters, Rebecca “Marty� Miller of OH and Theresa (Trimble) Catlett of VA. Pat earned a B.S. degree in Education from The Ohio State University and her Masters degree in Special Education from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a Special Education teacher in the Widefield CO school district. Memorial services will be held Thursday, March 17, 2011, 11:00 am at Vista Grande Baptist Church, 5680 Stetson Hills Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80917. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made, in her name, to: The American Association of Equine Practitioners Foundation, 4075 Iron Works Pkwy, Lexington KY 40511; or the ministry of your choice. Pat died doing what she loved best, riding her horse. After the accident, she spent her last minutes praying, talking with her Lord, Jesus. The knowledge that she is now with Him brings her loved ones great peace.
