Patricia Towner Obituary

Patricia Jean (Arbuthnot) Towner died quietly in her sleep November 30, 2011. Born in Omaha, Nebraska, February 6, 1927, Pat grew up in Arriba and Greeley, Colorado. The only child of Mary (Franklin) and Lester Arbuthnot, she married Wallace Towner in 1949 and is survived by her sons, John W. Towner and Ronald H. Towner, and her granddaughter Allison P.M. Towner. Pat graduated from Colorado State College (now UNC) with a degree in Music and Botany. Pat's love of, and sacrifices for, family and music guided her life. As a professional musician, she taught in public schools, gave private lessons, and played piano and organ at Faith Presbyterian Church for more than 30 years. As a homemaker during the tumultuous post-war decades, she created a family and supported us all in whatever endeavors we chose. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Faith Presbyterian Church music fund. Services will be held at Faith Presbyterian Church at 3:00 PM December 8th, 2011.
