Patricia Ann Wright, age 83, passed away in Broomfield, Colorado, on Sunday, August 27, 2017. The cause of death was Alzheimer's disease.
Interment of her ashes will be at Ft Logan in Denver, Colorado by the family.
Pat was the 4th of 5 children born in Nashville, Tennessee, to Mary Ellen and John Gillespie Brown on October 23, 1933. When she was 2 years old, her family moved to Denver, Colorado where she and Eldon Wright were married on April 25, 1951. After she graduated from South High School, they lived in several places across the United States including Los Gatos, California, while she worked in Silicon Valley for Memorex Corporation for 13 years. After Eldon's retirement from IBM Corporation, they moved to Sugar Pine, California in the High Sierras near Sonora and came to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1991.
She and Eldon were members of the Eastside Church of Christ and enjoyed their church Life Group which supported them with loving care. Pat always prepared a special dish and enjoyed the activities, especially the singing. She joyfully bowled on her winning team and played Bunco with her friends. She was a talented seamstress, an accomplished pianist, ice skated gracefully and loved to travel. She always looked for a way to help others and did so by giving to a number of charitable organizations.
She was diagnosed with dementia in October, 2010 and in July, 2016 entered the Sunrise at Flatirons Reminiscence unit in Broomfield, Colorado where she passed away. Eldon also moved to be near her and their son, John and family.
Survivors include her husband Eldon, her sister Myra Glaser of San Antonio, Texas, her brother Herbert Brown of Denver, Colorado and Pat and Eldon's children below:
