Patricia A. Ziemer, 75, passed away on February 3rd, 2023. Patricia was born on March 15th, 1947 to Frank and Mary Smentowski in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was married to her loving husband, Donald R. Ziemer for 57 years and they had 6 children together. She is survived by her children: Donnie, Jeremy, Jennifer, Cindy, Derek and Megan; her siblings: Marianne Berdon and John Smentowski; her 12 grandchildren; and her 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Leo and Frank Smentowski. Patricia was a member of New Life Church and her Christian faith in God was very important to her. Her sacrificial love for her family was one of her defining qualities. She loved cooking and was well known for her perfect pie crusts and pastries. Patricia attended UCCS and graduated with a bachelor's degree in education. She worked as an ESL teacher at Wilson Elementary for several years. Fishing and camping were some of her favorite activities. A viewing will be at 9:00 AM with a funeral service at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 16th, 2023 at the Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E Fountain Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80910. Her burial will be at Pikes Peak National Cemetery.
