Patrick DeFilippo Obituary

Patrick DeFilippo, 61, of Concord passed away Saturday, July 28th, 2012 following a brief illness.

The son of Mario and Gertrude (Ahern) DeFilippo, Patrick was born in Everett, Mass. April 3, 1951. He attended Wilmington High School and later graduated of ITT.

Patrick was a long time computer engineer working for the government and also owned and operated his own business for a short time. Patrick was a collector of many things such as, coins both gold and silver, antiques, pocket watches and more. From time to time he loved to play cards and fish. He loved to construct, build and create things with his own hands. He has built many homes and was always the go-to man if you needed something fixed. He had to keep busy, never staying in one place for too long a time and was always working on some new project.

Patrick leaves behind his best friend and former wife Brenda J. DeFilippo; his daughter and only child Christine Helen Todd; three grandchildren Marissa, Gregory and Chandler Carlson; two sisters, Jeneanne and Maria Kelly; and one brother Michael DeFilippo. He also leaves several other extended family members; the Hoffman Family; the Carter Family, the Courchaine Family and many close friends.

Pat will be reunited with his brothers Mario, Donnie, Paul and Jerry DeFilippo; as well as his mother Gertrude and his father Mario who passed before him. He will also reunite with his mother-in-law Rita who predeceased him in June 26th, 2012. She loved him like a son and he loved her dearly.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 5th, at 1 p.m. at The Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 172 King Street in Boscawen. An hour of gathering will follow the service at the funeral home.

The Cremation Society of New Hampshire, Boscawen office, is assisting the family with arrangements. To view an online memorial or to check service times please go to www.csnh.com.

Brenda, Janinne, Maria, Michael. My heart goes out to you all. Pat and I were always so close growing up. I will always remember all the good times that we all had growing up together. We may be scattered all around and don't see each other much anymore but family will always be in my heart. Patrick you were the best. You are with everyone now and one day we will all be together again. Love

We said our goodbys June 24th. It was the hardest thing to do in my life. To look into the eyes of my big brother, for the last time. I always adored and looked up to you! You said you were so tired of feeling sick. Well, now, you have no worries. I know you will suffer no more. Forever in my heart. Your little sister, Jeannine
