Patrick Stokes Obituary

Patrick Stokes, of Loveland, died unexpectedly on July 23, 2017, in Kansas City, KS. He is survived by his beloved wife, Annette (neè Duhaime) Stokes.

Pat was born on November 1, 1966, in Jacksonville, FL, to Lieut. Commander Thomas Stokes and Leslie Hinds Stokes. When his father retired from the U.S. Navy, the family relocated to Fort Collins, CO. Pat was an avid reader, who devoured anything in print. He was a devoted Bengals fan, stranded in a desert of Bronco followers. Pat and Anne's life was full of wonderful moments: Traveling, 4-wheeling, going for walks, and spending time with their grandchildren. Pat's career as a long-haul truck driver limited his time home, but never stopped him from making exquisite meals for his loved ones. From the moment of marriage, their deep love and respect for each other was evident. Pat was excited to become a husband, father, and proud grandpa. His relationships with all who knew him were to be admired, including his incredible connection with mother-in-law Patricia Duhaime.

Pat also leaves behind stepsons Mark Ryan (Elisha) and James Ryan, and cherished grandchildren Cameron, Addison, and Braylin Ryan. He is also survived by his mother Leslie (Bill), brother Andrew Stokes (Alison), nephew Sebastian and Aunt Kristin.

A memorial service will be held on August 5, 2017 at 10:30 AM for friends and family to remember the incredible man that was loved by so many.

Annette, Although we have never met I wanted to offer my sympathy for your loss. Patrick is my cousin. My father and Patrick's father are brothers. We spent some time together as children. I saw him last in 2004 when he was in Springfield with Andy to scatter his father's ashes. I enjoyed catching up with Patrick and he shared several family stories. My sincere condolences to you and your family.
