Patsy Bryan Obituary

Patsy Bryan, 89, of Colorado Springs, passed away on May 19, 2016.

Patsy was born to R.B. Porter and Mae Porter in Sublett, Kansas. She married Bill Bryan in 1943 and they spent 52 happy years together.

Patsy worked as a volunteer and eventually as a manager in the patient transport department of Penrose Hospital for 18 years before retiring. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed playing video poker in Cripple Creek.

Patsy is survived by her four children: Gary (Jody) Bryan, Dick (Alice) Bryan, Sue (Larry) Pippett, Ginny (Albert) Zuege; and daughter-in-love, Karen Bryan; 9 grandchildren: Chad Bryan, Greg Wentzel, Pandy Garcia, Traci Ahner, Tami Thomas, Lisa Schmidt, Carl Zuege, Mike Pippett and Jim Pippett; 14 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kim Bryan, and great-granddaughter, Emily Garcia.

A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 East Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the Director and staff at Brookdale Vista Grande Assisted Living for the loving care that was given to "Miss Patsy."

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Colorado Springs Chapter of Alzheimer's Association at 2315 Bott Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80904.

"How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard."

So terribly sorry I missed Pat's services. Just heard about it last night.
I worked Pat in Patient Transport for many years. Such a wonderful lady.
We both had similar opinions about the last Director we worked for.
Pat was a shining light in a very drab world.
