My husband, Charles L. Elms (and I) had the greatest privilege and blessing to have Dr. Anderson be his oncologist and our friend for 18 years. Charles lived a wonderful life 18 years longer specifically because of Dr. Anderson's brilliance, knowledge, treatment, love and care. And Dr. Anderson was there for us, supporting both of us with continued care and love at Charlie's passing, which by the way, was NOT from cancer.
Charles was able to live long enough to enjoy seeing his 3 teenage children grow up, get married and have children of their own. His first born grandson was named after him & Charlie was alive to know it only because of Dr. Anderson.
I am also very fortunate to know and be good friends others now because of Dr. Anderson. A phenomenal physician and person.
I will always, always be grateful for Dr. Anderson. I often share about how wonderful a person and physician he was. I will always remember and be grateful for his care and friendship as long as I live. My heart and thoughts are with his family now and will be.

Doctor Anderson treated and cared for my wife during a very stressfull time in her life. His caring extended to me also in my knowing that she was recieving superb care and made me feel like I was as close to being a family member as possible. The gates of heaven certainly will be thrown open to welcome him. May He Rest in Peace.

I had the privilege to work with and learn from Dr. Anderson for the first 12 years of my nursing career at Penrose Hospital. Over the years he cared for my family as well as myself -as personal physician, teacher, mentor and friend.
Truly one of the most brilliant and amazing human beings.
I will miss you dearly
