Paul Anthony Kowalczyk, age 64, of Colorado Springs, Co. (Originally from Calumet City, Ill} beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away at Harmony Bowl on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, from Heart failure, doing what he loved, Bowling. He patronized all Chicago sport teams, loved being surrounded by his family, especially his granddaughter Maggie, his dog Merlin, and living in the mountains of Colorado. He enjoyed bowling, hiking, Star Wars, and the God Father. Passionate about classic rock. Paul was selfless with his time, effort, and positivity. He made sure to teach all his sons the most important lesson he learned from his father, the reward for a hard day's work is the opportunity for another hard day's work, and how to have fun. He would want us to morn deeply and intensely at his passing but not be sad.
He had a lifetime of service at Calumet city public works from asphalt filler to Building inspector. To being heavily involved in local politics.
He was proceeded in death by His father Edward J Kowalczyk and his mother Lillian Prokop. His oldest brother Mark (Leslie)Children Jennifer (Mark) Kimberly, Megan and youngest sister Mary (Teddy) Children: Michael, Monica (Jeffrey): children Jeffrey Jr. Julius and Maelani, and Edward. He also had numerous aunts and uncles who passed before him. 1st, 2nd and third cousins and great nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his wife (32 yrs) Celeste, his sons Wm. Greggory (Victoria), Jeremy (Maddison & granddaughter Maggie), Alec, Brad and Shaun (Sara). His Sister Linda, sons Adrian and Eric (and children), sister Bonita, her son Benjamin (Judy) Devynn, Alexis, Samantha. He has friends that loved him and knew him most of his life. Special shout out to Cousin Nick & Norm and their families. In the end he was living his best life surrounded by the people he loved. May we all be so lucky.
