Paul Bruce Painter, 61, of Woodland Park, CO, passed away January 27, 2023 at Forest Ridge Senior Living after a long battle with dementia.
Paul was born on May 23, 1961, to Bruce Painter and Patricia Yerkey (McNulty). He is the second of four siblings: Russell, Rhonda and Greg.
He attended school in Denver, Chipita Park, Manitou Springs and graduated from Woodland Park High School in 1979. He married Stephanie Parent on August 25, 1990 at his Grandpa Mac's mining claims under a gazebo he built for the occasion. Paul was the proud father to Ariel and Kenny.
Paul worked as an electrician much of his life at Green Mountain Falls Electric Company in Woodland Park, CO. He first learned the trade under the direction of his father and later managed the company until such time he no longer worked.
Paul's passion was working on cars and showing his cars in parades and car shows.
Paul is survived by daughter, Ariel Painter (Rory Bean), son, Kenny Painter, mother Patricia Yerkey, father Bruce (Marsha) Painter, brother Russell, sister Rhonda, brother Greg (Lynette) Painter, stepbrother Ryan Wamhoff, stepsister Denise Yerkey, stepsister Laura Yerkey, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his stepfather.
Graveside service will be held Friday, February 3, 2023 at 2:30 pm at Woodland Park Cemetery.

I remember Paul as an enthusiastic bowler in our Tuesday evening bowling league in Woodland Park, with a mock-cynical sense of humor.
