Paul Rhodes Obituary

Paul J. "Dusty" Rhodes, loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle, passed away on April 27, 2012, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's. He was born July 18, 1926 in La Junta, CO. He was preceded in death by parents Amos and Anna Rhodes, and brothers John, Marvin and Vernon. He is survived by Crystal, his wife of 66 years; sons Richard, Jim (Dixie), and Don (Terri); four grandchildren, Leah Pinney (Scott), Stephanie Bornholdt (Chris), Andrea Goller (Don), and Christopher Rhodes (Crystal); six great-grandchildren, Julia and Jessica Pinney, Dalton and Wyatt Bornholdt, Ashleigh and Emily Goller; as well as many nieces and nephews. He worked as a mechanic at several garages in town before starting a new career selling insurance, where he earned numerous sales awards. Services will be held at Advantage Funeral Home, 829 S Hancock, Colorado Springs, CO, on Friday, May 4, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Parkinson's Association of the Rockies, 1325 South Colorado Blvd., Suite 204B, Denver, CO 80222.
