Paulette Bassett (Jones)

Paulette Darlene Bassett (Jones), passed away on Friday Nov 11th. She was born in Ames, Iowa to Gerry and Paul Jones and was the youngest of 3 children. Paulette grew up in Colorado Springs and graduated from Wasson High School, class of 67'. She married Dewey Bassett on Sept. 14th, 1968, and they proceeded to have 2 sons. The family moved to Las Vegas and Paulette spent many years as a blackjack dealer. Her and Dewey retired back to Colorado Springs in 2005. Paulette is survived by her husband of 54 years, Dewey, Sons, Mark and his daughter Kylie, Paul, his wife Kristy and their daughters, Karly and Kestin, brothers, David Fall (Bette) and Jack Fall. A gravesite interment will be held Friday Nov 18th at 3pm at Memorial Gardens on Academy. A reception at Fargo's pizza will be held after at 4:30pm.

To have, to love, and then to part is the greatest sorrow of one's heart. It's comforting knowing that Paulette is no longer in a body with her limits. We pray for you all at this sad time and wish the family strength and peace.

Paulette and I go way back, she was a very dear friend and will truly be missed. Her sons and husband were the most important things to her and came before anything else. My daughter called her Grandma Paulette. She was pretty funny and loved to laugh and have fun. We dealt black Jack together and had many of good times together. Spread your wings and breathe easy my friend till we meet again ride the rainbows roll with the clouds. Truly love you and miss all the time that has passed since we last seen each other. With my deepest condolences to Dewy, Mark, Paul and her granddaughters.
