Pauline Brancheau Obituary

Pauline Lois Brancheau, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 6, 2014 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born in Holland, Ohio on February 19, 1914 to Alvin and Audrey Crumm. Pauline had two half brothers, Otis and Alvin Crumm Jr. both deceased, and one half sister, Joanne Chambers of Decatur, Texas who survives her.

On December 2, 1933, Pauline married James Clifford Brancheau of Monroe, Michigan. Their 60th wedding anniversary was celebrated the summer of 1993 in Colorado Springs with their children and many other relatives. Her beloved husband died in September of that same year and is buried in Roswell, New Mexico where they lived for 21 years before his death.

Pauline was a homemaker. She loved sewing, crocheting, and cooking for her five very active children. Pauline was a convert to Catholicism, was very involved in the church, and instilled in her children love and devotion to their religious beliefs.



In her later years, Pauline enjoyed watching the mass and praying the rosary with Sister Angelica on the Catholic Television Network.

She leaves behind her children, Suzanne Louden of Colorado Springs, Joyce Finton of La Quinta, California, Joan Stephens of Ft. Lauderdale Florida, Paula Eastham of Alburquerquer, New Mexico and James Edward Brancheau of Dearborn, Michigan. Pauline is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Services are being arranged at Assumption Catholic Church in Roswell, New Mexico. She will be buried there next to her husband, James.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to "Returning God's Gifts" of the Catholic Diocese of Colorado Springs, 228 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.
