Payton Carter Obituary

Payton Kenneth Carter, 54, of Colorado Springs passed October 1, 2013. He was born in Virginia on October 29th to devoted parents Ken and Donna.

He married his passionately loving wife Cris Carter on New Years Eve of 2000 in Hawaii. He was an integral part of his children and grandchildren's lives.

As a stone mason and general contractor he beautified the homes, yards, and buildings of Colorado Springs. He was known by his friends as a leader among leaders.

Payton is survived by his wife Cris Carter of Colorado Springs; parents, Ken and Donna Carter; sister, Charlene Carter and grandmother Irene Geddes of Eugene, OR; children, Erin Maxwell of Houston, Elliot Carter of Atlanta, Justin Foster of Florida, Carly and Grant Barron of Fort Collins, and grandchildren Lincoln and Livingston Barron.

He will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Service for Payton will be Sunday, October 6, 2013 at 4PM at the New Life Church World Prayer Center, 11025 Voyager Parkway, Colorado Springs, CO 80921.

In lieu of flowers, we're asking for donations to be made in Payton Carter's name and honor to the Wounded Warrior project

woundedwarriorproject.org, a cause he supported, or Colorado Springs Senior Center,

www.csseniorcenter.com, where Payton and Cris volunteered their time.
