Peter Eisele Obituary

Peter Christian Eisele, beloved husband, son and grandfather passed away peacefully on April 4, 2015 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born in Norwalk, Connecticut, February 19, 1947 the child of late John and Mildred Eisele.

Peter graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelors of Civil Engineering in 1969. He devoted over 30 years to working as a project manager in the water department for the Colorado Springs Utilities.

Family, friends and his volunteer work with Engineers Without Borders, CASA and as a deacon at First Presbyterian Church were among the things he enjoyed most in life. Peter had a love of fishing; hiking in the outdoors, a passion for traveling and working in the yard.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, devoted wife, Mary Eisele; loving children Joseph (Arda) Eisele; Heather (David) Deitemeyer. Precious grandchildren, Arza, Iris, Frank, Mark and Logan; brothers Doug (Karen), David as well as a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will take place Thursday April 9, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 North Cascade Avenue Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903. A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, April 10, 2015 at 2p.m. at First Presbyterian Church 219 Bijou Avenue Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903. A reception to follow the service in the Fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Engineers Without Borders, Colorado Springs Professional Chapter website EWBCOS.org. ; CASA of the Pikes Peak Region 701 South Cascade Ave. Colorado Springs, CO 80903 or the American Lung Association at www. Lung.org/donate.

Pete was so nice. A truly nice guy. I'm sorry to see him go. He also knew a lot about random things. I remember telling him about something I saw from the air on a flight to Colorado. I described these square plots with lines on them in the middle of nowhere. He knew what they were: gas mines. A random thing, but he knew it.

Pete was a good friend of mine. I would like to think of him as one of my best friends. I knew him for nearly 40 years and this is very hard for me to except. I enjoyed being around him for all of these years, with the trips skiing, hiking and just being with him and his family. Our heart goes out to Mary and their children. We will miss you!
